What would our country be without mustangs?? America was made from wild horses, Cowboys & Indians.... At the rate the BLM is going they are going to "wipe out" the mustangs completly and they will be extinct. Of course I'm beginning to think that that is what the BLM is really trying to do.
Maybe it's time that the BLM just admitts they have made some mistakes with mis-managing the mustangs and learn from their mistakes. I don't understand how rounding up over 30,000 mustangs and caring for them makes any sence, let alone be cost effective when they can care for themselves in the wild. Just give them a little help with their reproduction rate so they don't multiply quit so fast. Since they don't have any natural enemy (except man). Has the BLM ever thought about maybe having the cattle ranches keep their cattle in feed lots and cared for that way so the horses can have their land back. The land belonged to the mustangs way before any stupid cows.... Besides there is probably enoug

700 million dollars to provide welfare for wild animals? 5 million a year just to repair the damage they do? These animals are not even native to this continent! They were brought here by the Spaniards. No welfare for undocumented species!

This is a travesty! What ever happened to the "pay-go" plan? Anyone who voted on this should count on not being voted back in at the end of their term!
